Please note: Some of the documents describing trades including training standards may still refer to the Ontario College of Trades (the College), which has ceased operations and has been replaced by Skilled Trades Ontario. These documents are now being revised to reflect this change to the skilled trades system in Ontario. All other information contained in these documents continues to be relevant and accurate.

Please note: As of April 2, 2025, Skilled Trades Ontario is responsible for apprenticeship registration and completion. Some apprenticeship documents, including Training Standards Logbooks, may contain outdated information about STO and the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD).

For the latest steps and forms related to apprenticeship program completion, visit Finish an Apprenticeship. We continue to accept forms from Apprenticeship Training Standard Logbooks, including the Change of Sponsor Record and Apprenticeship Completion Form.

Please submit any Logbook materials to Skilled Trades Ontario not to MLITSD offices moving forward by:

  • Email: Please call Skilled Trades Ontario for secure email instructions at 647-847-3000 or Toll-free (Ontario only) at 1-855-299-0028 Monday- Friday from 7am-7pm.
  • Mail: Skilled Trades Ontario, PO Box 2354 RPO SQ1 Shoppers, Mississauga, ON L5B 3C8

On September 1, 2024, phased implementation of a new Curriculum Standard will begin for the following three electrical trades: Electrician - Construction and Maintenance (309A), Industrial Electrician (442A), and Electrician - Domestic and Rural (309C). For more information on this change, please see each trade's details page.
