Level Up! Skilled Trades Career Fair in Timmins April 8-9

Public open house Wednesday 3-7pm

TIMMINS – Timmins is the final stop of one of Ontario’s most impactful workforce development tours. The Level Up! Skilled Trades Career Fair arrives at Northern College – Timmins Campus on April 8–9, giving students, parents, job seekers, and community members a rare, hands-on opportunity to explore the full range of Ontario’s 144 recognized skilled trades — and find a career path that builds something real.

This event, postponed from the fall, marks the conclusion of the 2025-26 Level Up! tour, which has been experienced by nearly 50,000 students across Ontario.

The public is invited to a free Open House on Wednesday, April 8, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Northern College – Timmins Campus, 4715 Highway 101 E., South Porcupine. Walk the floor, talk to industry experts, try your hand at a trade, and discover what a career in the skilled trades can offer.

Presented by Skilled Trades Ontario, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, Level Up! Skilled Trades Career Fairs spotlight high-demand trades essential to Ontario’s economic growth, inspiring community members to recognize their vital role in this sector.

Interview Opportunity: Candice White, CEO of Skilled Trades Ontario, is available for interviews to discuss the upcoming Timmins career fair, the success of the Level Up! initiative, and the critical importance of skilled trades to Ontario’s economic future.
