Christine Wellenreiter, CM, ICD.D, is Director, Marketing and Communications at Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS), where she leads their Marketing, Creative Production, Communications, Events and Digital Marketing teams. She brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, communications and strategy, along with significant governance and advisory experience in workforce development, insurance, public service, health and education.
Christine is Vice-Chair of Skilled Trades Ontario, serving on its Executive Committee and chairing its Communications Working Group. She is also a director of MutualOne Insurance Company and Support Ontario Youth.
Christine has extensive experience in retail, institutional and group investments and retirement solutions, having held meaningful roles as Director of Strategy & Market Support for Canada Life’s group retirement business, and Vice-President of Marketing and Communications for GLC Asset Management Group Ltd., where her capital market insights appeared in nationally distributed publications for more than a decade.
She is deeply rooted in her community, having served as a former provincially appointed member of the London Police Services Board, Chair of the Thames Valley Children’s Centre Board, member of Program Advisory Councils for the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, and inaugural co-chair of Canada Life’s Young Professionals Employee Resource Group.
Christine is bilingual, earned her Chartered Marketer and ICD.D (Institute of Corporate Directors) designations, the CFA Institute Certificate in Sustainable Investing, Bachelor of Arts and Certificat de Français pratique from Western University.
