APPRENTICESHIP

Welders operate welding equipment to weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Welders also operate previously set up welding machines such as spot, butt and seam resistance or gas and arc welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts.

Experienced workers who have not completed an Ontario apprenticeship but have equivalent qualifications or experience in their trade can use the Trade Equivalency Assessment Process.
